Why I Built This
After a career spent auditing systems for transparency and fairness, I noticed a growing compliance gap in the digital job market. Job boards operate with no accountability to job seekers — only to the employers who pay them. They are filled with phantom listings, ghost roles designed only to harvest data, and a complete lack of salary transparency. Many organisations are repeat offenders.
I realised that job seekers are entering these applications with a massive information disadvantage. I decided to use my background in data vetting and regulatory standards to build a tool that levels the playing field.
The HiringXray Standard
Because of my background in FCA-regulated environments, I built this tool with three non-negotiable principles:
- Data Integrity: We scan historical job board data to identify reposting patterns that indicate a “Phantom” listing.
- Privacy by Design: In the world of finance, data is everything. HiringXray is built to be lightweight and privacy-first. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t track your personal browsing history.
- Radical Transparency: If a company is hiding a salary or using a predatory ATS (Applicant Tracking System), you deserve to know before you spend 90 minutes on an application.
